The MMSTL Covers
1996 was a big year for the Mens Maryland Suburban Traveling League (MMSTL). Along with the Internet, came the weekly booklets. The additional pages in the publications lent themselves well to the size of the league and the other things happening, such as the inner-league “Singles League”, the inner-league tournaments, like the “Eliminator”, the “Shooter”, the “Travel League Open”, and the year-end “Big 32” event held on payoff night. But the thing that made the booklets distinguishable on a week-to-week basis were the covers, featuring the ‘highlight player of the week’, and other detours.
